Limestone
Granules
Limestone Granules vary in size from small dust like particles to small pebble-like pieces of around 3-4 mm of size. They are of higher grade and have a high concentration of calcium due to them being sourced from the grounds of Al Minya. Limestone granules are used in a variety of applications including, but not limited to, the following.
Animal Feed
Limestone Granules are included in animal and poultry feed. They act as an important source of Calcium which is necessary for bone development and eggshell formation for poultry and other livestock.
Agriculture
Limestone granules are used in agriculture as they improve soil fertility and adjust soil pH. They neutralize the acidity and provides essential calcium and magnesium nutrients for plant growth.
Glass Manufacturing
Limestone granules are used in glass manufacturing as they act as a stabilizer that improves the quality and formation of the glass.
Ceramic Manufacturing
Limestone Granules are a main component in ceramic products, mostly ceramic tiles. It is used as a main source of CaO in glazes.
Water Filtering and Purification
Limestone granules are used in the water treatment process. They can be added tto water sources to adjust the pH levels and neutralize acidic water.
Environmental Applications
Limestone granules are used in to remove sulfur dioxide emissions from power plant exhaust gases, reducing air pollution. They are also used in lakes and rivers to raise the pH levels and de-acidify natural water bodies.
